Great chrome mirrors, but........ |

My new manual chrome mirrors for my '92 Miata look awesome. But I have 2 minor issues. 1. The driver mirror's a bit "contorted" & literally makes me go slightly "cross-eyed" when I initially look into it. It's annoying & takes a few seconds for my eyes to adjust to it. It also seems "objects are a little too far" in this mirror; my old mirrors actually represented a more accurate & safer "distance" of vehicles behind me. 2.) I cannot mount the mirrors completely "flush" to my car's doors as there's a piece of very durable black hard plastic appendage/part of the base (for power windows?) that causes this problem. I've read somewhere that the piece I'm trying to articulate needs to be "cut off" to mount the mirrors properly, but I simply can't find any easy way to do that, :o(. Sand paper it down for about 3 hours?! Saw it/dremel-drill it off?? I don't have many tools, :o(. Other than these 2 issues, I still love my new chrome mirrors from RSpeed/ILMotorsport of Cologne, Germany!
