Hood struts March 21, 2023 Reviewer: Jaime from Los Angeles   I got these because I wanted to be able to just open the hood without the manual prop. The order arrived without any problems but I did run into a bit of a problem with the props keeping the hood up like some have mentioned. I did managed to sort this out and in their videos there is some contradictions of how they are installed. One more review about fitment December 27, 2022 Reviewer: Ben C from Cary, NC United States   Notice how pretty much every review complains that the rear of the hood won't pay flat? I did too but assumed I could do it better...but I had the same problem. I noticed the brackets are not completely symmetrical. The side where the tab is bent closer to the hood isn't flush. I tweaked it for 20 minutes and nothing changes. I blame quality control but have no desire to start trying to bend this bracket. Stays open fine but wish I would have steered clear after reading all these complaints. Here's one more that the next person can also ignore. Maybe when we get to 20 people will start paying attention. Was this review helpful to you?

Awesome and cheap modification September 24, 2022 Reviewer: Ryan Davis from York, PA United States   Super easy to install and very convenient!  After a turbo install, the stock hood prop wouldn't fit in the engine bay (it would hit the intake filter on the way down).  So instead of getting my prop out of the trunk everytime; this kit saved me the hassle!  Highly recommended Was this review helpful to you?

Hood Lift Fitment July 17, 2022 Reviewer: W. Steven Sklaris from Vero Beach, FL United States   The dual hood lift kit works very good but I'm struggling with getting the hood to lay flat against the fenders.  The hood is slightly raised on each side where the lift struts lie.  I've played with the washers but the hood is still slightly raised. Very high quality, tweaks your hood! April 15, 2022 Reviewer: Daniel Blachman from Palo Alto, CA United States   The R-Speed dual hood lift kit is a complete, well thought out kit  made from good quality parts, nicely finished. It is sturdy, lifts the hood securely, and. opens wider than with the prop. That is the good part. The bad part? It may mis-align your delicate aluminum hood, right at the hinges! I installed it in my '04 Mazdaspeed, (using the good, simple instructions, all parts included), and was very pleased with how it worked, and looked. But, over time my hood would no longer sit flush, it stood proud of the fenders; higher at the A-pillar than near the headlights. No bueno! The last good part? When you remove it, you do not leave behind a permanently mangled hood or any new drilled holes. (Make sure to save all those painted bolts)! If your hood will not go back into place, you will have to bend the hinges back manually...cr@p! Mine is fixed now, but I took the Hood Lift Kit off!! I'm just going to have to get used to the prop.
