Goodbye to an old friend
Last Updated: 09/07/2009
This year we lost a very close friend and Miata aficionado, Jay Hunter.

His love for his Miata was trumped only by that of his music. He was an avid guitarist and played all over the Southeast using his Miata as his sole form of transportation. His bubbly nature and kind-hearted attitude are few and far between nowadays, and having him walk through the door could instantly change the mood of a room.

When he was in an accident last year, he was left without a vehicle to drive. Luckily, we had a white Miata in the shop that we had been fixing up to sell. The timing was perfect and we reluctantly parted with our freshened Miata in fear that it would meet the same fate. All was well, however, and he drove it happily for the rest of the year. Just as we had provided him with years of service and parts, he repaid us tenfold through his actions.

Jay's love for music, cars, people and pretty much everything made him a bright spot in an otherwise bleak day. He will be sorely missed, but remembered well by all the people lucky enough to meet him.
