Service Terms and Conditions
This document outlines the terms and conditions governing the provision of automotive repair services by RSpeed Inc., hereafter referred to as "the Shop".
- Service Agreement: By engaging the services of the Shop, the customer agrees to the terms and conditions outlined herein. This engagement includes but is not limited to: approving services in person, via phone or electronic communication, or through after-hours drop box.
- Estimates: All cost estimates provided by the Shop are based on the initial assessment of the vehicle's condition. Actual costs may vary depending on the extent of repairs needed. The customer will be informed of any changes in cost before the commencement of additional work.
- Authorization: The customer authorizes the Shop to perform the agreed-upon repairs and services. Any additional work not covered by the initial estimate will require separate authorization by the customer. In such cases where the customer is not able to be contacted for an extended period of time, some work may be performed without authorization in order to free up shop resources for other scheduled work.
- Parts and Materials: The Shop reserves the right to use new, used, or aftermarket parts as deemed appropriate for the repair. Customer provided parts may be used (with some restrictions), but will carry no warranty on associated labor. All replaced parts will be retained and safely disposed of by the Shop unless otherwise specified by the customer.
- Payment Terms: Payment for services is due upon completion of the repairs. The Shop accepts cash and all major credit cards. Delinquent invoices are subject to late fees and may result in legal action for collection. All vehicles are subject to a storage fee of $20 per day beginning 72 hours after the customer has been notified that repairs are completed, unless otherwise pre-arranged with the customer.
- Warranty: The Shop provides a limited warranty on repairs for a period of [12] months. This warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, negligence or misuse, or services involving customer supplied parts.
- Customer's Responsibilities: Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about their vehicle's condition. The Shop is not liable for any issues arising from incomplete or inaccurate information provided by the customer including but not limited to delays in completion time, additional parts required, or additional labor.
- Liability: The Shop is not responsible for loss or damage to personal items left in the vehicle during the repair process. The customer is advised to remove valuables from the vehicle before leaving it with the Shop. A cleaning fee may be assessed on vehicles whose condition poses a health or safety risk to technicians, or where excessive amounts of personal items directly impede or prevent the technician's ability to complete work.
- Delays: The Shop will make all reasonable efforts to complete repairs within the estimated time frame. However, delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances. The customer will be notified of any significant delays.
- Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions will be resolved in a best faith effort directly with the customer, or through mediation or arbitration in accordance with local laws.
