These often-overlooked seals sit under your hardtop's rear mounting points (aka Frankenstein bolts). They protect the chrome striker plates from wear and scratches, while also reducing vibration and rattling in the rear lock plates during driving. Most hardtop-equipped Miatas never had these installed—and they’re no longer available from Mazda. We’re bringing them back!
⚙️ Easy Installation (Hardtop Removal Required):

Remove the hardtop from the car.

Open the lock plate cover (remove side screw).
-
Unscrew the two 12mm bolts holding the alignment plate.

Insert the 3 rubber plugs on each side to hold the seals in place.

Trim any excess to allow proper fit.
-
Reinstall the alignment plate and cover.
