Product Description   The VVTi Miatas from 2001-2005 need to have the cam phaser removed to change cam seals. However, Mazda decided it was a good idea to stop making the gasket that goes under the bolt cover. So we've all had to use silicone, or other means to make sure we don't have an active leak there. For the sake of our shop and for our DIY friends at home, Rspeed has reproduced this part! Made identical to the Mazda part in stamped metal for long life. It replaces Mazda part number ZL09-10-607. We recommend cleaning the cam phaser and plate surfaces really well for the best seal. You can use a thin film of silicone on the gasket if you wish, but don't over-do it. Don't forget to get the set of Torx screws that hold the cover on, those tend to strip or break at times. Those are part number NB2-1161
