4 of 5 Outstanding Customer Service and Solid Exhaust July 16, 2021

Installed on a stock 96 Miata.

RSpeed customer service was outstanding. Hector was quick to research and reply with solid answers to my questions (5/5 stars).

Fitment was good, but could be better. One flange was off by ~10 degrees and the midpipe-to-exhaust bolts didn’t align very well (4/5 stars).

Build quality and welds were good, but one hanger weld was questionable and I don't expect it to last. Included bolts appeared to be cheap Grade 5 instead of stainless or Grade 8  (4/5 stars).

Sound was really meh: a little deeper and barely louder than stock. For this $$$, I’d like something between the Cobalt and ISR—maybe offer a non-resonated midpipe (3/5 stars).

Cobalt's packaging (not RSpeed) was really disappointing, as this beautifully polished Cobalt exhaust had minimal protection from the factory. There were A LOT of harsh shipping-induced scratches on the tailpipe next to the etched 'Cobalt' logo, a really bad look for Cobalt and a bad look for my car (2/5 stars).

I've watched a lot of reviews, and have had this on my list for the longest time. I finally bit the bullet, and I'm quite impressed. It gives the Miata bit more of a modern sporty sound, and it's an absolute blast revving for fun just to hear the deeper tone. It adds a little bit more drama to the sounds of rev matching and adds a bit of fun.
