These plug and play rear view camera kits are courtesy of IL Motorsport in Germany. The camera has a 170 degree viewing angle and displays a very clear and full color image on the centre display of your Mata The camera display offers a 720 x 480HD resolution and a 30fps frame rate, and can also be used when dark due to the night vision functionality. On the display you get distance reference grid lines and a centre line for easy parking. When fitted, the camera itself is very inconspicuous and can only be seen when crouching right down under the rear of the car. Being plug and play the installation of this kit is extremely easy, and even comes with a 22mm hole saw to drill the hole in the bumper for the camera.

Fits all ND Miata's 2016 forward including the RF model.

Please Note: Although this kit is easy to fit, as the video shows, much of the interior trim has to be removed. This may look complicated and lengthy, but installation is surprisingly easy!

Kit included all parts needed and worked well. Glad the drill bit was included to drill the bumper to size. However, there is a piece of foam inside the bumper that needs to he drilled out to make sure the cable with the nut and the camera body itself can be inserted vertically. Those instructions are not in installation video. The way the install video shows won’t work because of the piece of foam inside the bumper blocking and even pushing the camera down. In my case, the camera cannot stay in place and gets pushed out and only thing I can do is to drill the foam out even more. This is not a problem with the kit, just something to know. The kit is great. Watch installation video by Flying Miata, which goes over this issue. The sticky foam piece does not have enough strength to hold the camera from getting pushed by the foam piece.

Camara angle points down at the ground and is not adjustable. Installed on 2018 stock Miata.
